Cercle des Experts
About
The Cercle des Experts (Experts’ Circle) is a working group established under the auspices of Paris Place d’Arbitrage. It brings together the community of experts from all disciplines involved in arbitration proceedings in Paris, alongside arbitrators and counsel.
The mission of the Cercle des Experts is to contribute to the promotion of Paris as a leading arbitration venue through its multidisciplinary community of experts.
Missions
Promotion of Technical Expertise
As a major and historic arbitration venue, Paris is home to a broad community of experts with significant expertise across all technical disciplines (economics and finance, construction, energy, IT, etc.).
The Cercle des Experts aims to promote and showcase this technical expertise within the arbitration community.
Dialogue with Arbitration Professionals
Arbitration proceedings require the coordinated involvement of numerous stakeholders (companies, arbitral institutions, arbitrators, counsel, experts), each playing a role in the efficient resolution of disputes.
The Cercle des Experts seeks to bring together the expert community in order to present its members’ views in a coordinated manner and to facilitate dialogue with other participants in the arbitration process.
Knowledge Sharing
Like law, technical disciplines are constantly evolving and must adapt to meet the new challenges of our time.
The Cercle des Experts aims to foster the exchange of experience and the sharing of knowledge through the creation of working groups addressing these challenges and the organization of training sessions for members of the arbitration community.
Governance and Organization
The Cercle des Experts is open to all individuals working in technical fields who wish to share their expertise and contribute to promoting Paris as a leading arbitration venue.
Prospective members are required to pay the membership fee of Paris Place d’Arbitrage.
The Cercle des Experts is led by Juliette Fortin (FTI Consulting) and David Coyne (Diales), as long-standing partners of Paris Place d’Arbitrage.
Events
The Cercle des Experts organizes discussions, conferences, and training sessions throughout the year on technical topics related to arbitration.
